Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care to patients
• Perform cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain oral health
• Take and interpret dental radiographs
• Apply preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene (preferred)
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
• Proficiency with dental instruments and radiography equipment
• Familiarity with dental software for patient management
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control standards
• Skills in patient education and oral health promotion
