Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling to maintain patient oral health
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
- Document patient care and update medical histories accurately
- Provide a comfortable and positive experience for every patient
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Maryland
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care
Education
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
- Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental prophylaxis and scaling
- Knowledge of dental software and digital x-rays
- Understanding of infection control protocols
- Excellent patient education skills
