Location: Austin, Texas

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend, with call requirements

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to orthopedic/trauma patients on a 34-bed telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to critical changes
Assist with wound vac management, CPM machines, and bracing
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation using MediTech EMR

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or Compact state
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
At least 1 year of Med/Surg experience
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and TNCC preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring
Wound care and wound vac management
Orthopedic/trauma patient care
MediTech EMR proficiency
Strong communication and teamwork skills
