Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM (with call requirements on weeknights and weekends)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform first scrub role in complex open heart surgeries including CABG, valve replacement, and aneurysm repairs
Assist in robotic surgeries using Stryker towers and support ECMO and Impella procedures
Cross-train in general OR specialties when CV volumes are low
Manage on-call responsibilities for weeknights and weekends to cover emergency cases
Collaborate with a dedicated team in a family-oriented department

Qualifications

You hold current BLS certification and are a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) or NCCT
You have at least 2 years of CVOR experience with open heart surgery and first scrub skills
You are willing to cross-train in other OR specialties and float to the floor as needed
You can respond to call within 15 minutes and live within 50 miles of the facility

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in open heart procedures: CABG, valve surgery, aneurysms
Experienced with thoracotomies, VATS, and robotic cases
Skilled in first scrub and sterile technique
Familiar with Stryker towers, ECMO, Impella 5.5
Adaptable to floating and cross-training in general OR
