Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (days) and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a 35-bed PCU
Monitor and manage cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and continuous EEG patients
Titrate and administer critical drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in open-book exam during orientation

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required to verify distance from facility
Minimum 2 years of PCU experience preferred
Positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips and managing telemetry
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills
Basic computer and documentation skills
