Location: Wichita, Kansas

Start Date: 07-20-2026

End Date: 10-19-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with on-call: 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month, 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care for a diverse range of surgical procedures including orthopedics, GYN, urology, cardiothoracic, vascular, plastics, spine, neuro, and trauma
Collaborate with a dynamic surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize advanced technology including DaVinci Robotics, MAKO, and TAVR equipment
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to safety protocols
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of current acute care OR RN experience in a hospital setting
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with DaVinci Robotics, orthopedics, neurology, and vascular preferred
Prior Meditech experience is a plus
Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of perioperative nursing standards and infection control
Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing for various surgical specialties
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt quickly to different surgical cases and equipment
Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
