Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating days/nights, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a mixed PCU, Oncology, and Med/Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a supportive interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other PCU and Med/Surg units to support the team when needed
Engage in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU, Oncology, or Med/Surg nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome - we love new faces!
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred; chemotherapy certification a big plus
Valid driver's license needed to verify residency

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in caring for oncology patients from diagnosis through end-of-life
Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and managing PCU-level drips
Skilled in using EPIC electronic medical records
Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed-acuity environment
