Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized critical care to neonates in a Level 4 NICU, supporting premature infants, cardiac defects, surgical cases, and ECMO
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists, midlevels, and respiratory therapists
Perform advanced nursing skills such as central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions with sterile technique
Monitor patients using Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems
Educate and support families through their newborn's intensive care journey

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent NICU experience, with Level 4 experience strongly preferred
Active BLS, NRP, and Cardiac STABLE certifications required
Previous travel experience is a plus
Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Ability to demonstrate competency in sterile field during SIMs lab

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry
Expertise in neonatal critical care, including care of premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, and surgical neonates
Strong sterile technique for invasive procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
