Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend, 2 out of 3 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care for adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and cardiogenic shock
Titrate vasopressors, sedatives, narcotics, and antiarrhythmics as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including fellows and residents to deliver high-quality care
Interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms independently
Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU as needed
Maintain a positive attitude and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license to verify radius rule
Ability to pass an open book exam with a 90% score during orientation
No artificial nails per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and quick decision-making in high-acuity situations
Proficiency with advanced monitoring equipment such as CVP, arterial lines, and ventilators
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to titrate multiple drips simultaneously
Knowledge of stroke, sepsis, and post-surgical care protocols
