Location: Mt Vernon, Washington

Start Date: 07-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, rotating days including weekends as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery
Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs, ensuring prompt interventions
Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the healthcare team to achieve safe deliveries
Educate and support families through the birthing process and postpartum care
Float between Skagit Valley Hospital and Cascade Valley Hospital as needed to support staffing

Qualifications

Active Washington State Registered Nurse License
Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification
Current NRP certification
Current C-EFM certification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-acuity obstetrical care
Proficiency in fetal monitoring interpretation (C-EFM required)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt quickly to different hospital environments and float between units
