Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; alternating weekends and on-call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $82 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist interventional radiologists during imaging-guided procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and drainage
Coordinate daily schedule with interventional radiologists to ensure efficient patient flow
Collaborate with floor nurses and imaging technologists to provide seamless patient care
Monitor patients undergoing sedation and administer sedation as directed
Place peripheral IV lines and assist with pacemaker insertions
Provide care for both inpatient and outpatient populations, including pediatric patients

Qualifications

Current and valid California RN license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Experience in Interventional Radiology preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced procedural environment

Knowledge & Skills

Procedural sedation and monitoring
PIV placement and vascular access
Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Operation of MRI safe pumps and EKG monitors
Sterile technique and infection control practices
