Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as needed
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for up to 33 beds
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists and nurse aides
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book exam to ensure competency
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed, maintaining safe patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Willingness to adhere to facility policies including artificial nail prohibition
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced ICU environment
Proficiency in titrating vasoactive and sedative medications
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to float to different units as needed
