Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights (0630-1830 or 1830-0630), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to a diverse ICU population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis patients
Titrate complex drips such as cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using GE monitors
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nursing aides
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book skills exam to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required (for mileage compliance)
Ability to remove artificial nails for patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing, including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Proficiency in titrating intravenous drips and interpreting cardiac rhythms
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-acuity environment
