Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients including those with trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, overdose, and respiratory distress
Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as ordered
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using GE monitoring systems
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RT and nurse aides
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed with appropriate patient ratios
Participate in orientation including an open-book exam to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius rule
Ability to pass a medication and skills exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating cardiac and sedation drips
Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry skills
Excellent critical thinking and rapid assessment abilities
Comfortable floating to other units with similar patient ratios
