Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis patients in a 33-bed ICU
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation with precision and confidence
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for up to 3 patients per shift
Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team including nurse aides and respiratory therapists
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC) required
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience preferred
Must be willing to work every other weekend and at least 2 holidays during contract
Driver's license required for radius verification
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care, telemetry, and drip titration
Proficient in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips and manage ventilators
Strong communication and teamwork skills
