Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), including every other weekend. Schedule set 4 weeks in advance.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in the Family Birthing Center, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, interpret electronic fetal monitoring patterns
Assist with vaginal deliveries, including twin deliveries, and circulate in cesarean sections
Administer and titrate medications such as pitocin and insulin as needed
Provide neonatal resuscitation at delivery using NRP guidelines
Collaborate with OB providers, neonatologists, and anesthesia on-call team
Support antepartum testing and stabilization of newborns in the level II NICU

Qualifications

Current California RN license in good standing
Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience required; 3 years preferred
OR circulating experience required
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced EFM certifications required
Comfortable with neonatal resuscitation and independent decision-making
Ability to titrate pitocin and other drips confidently
Two supervisory references (charge nurse accepted) within the last year

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in LDRP nursing and maternal-child care
Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation using Fetalink system
Skilled in OR circulating for cesarean sections
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Ability to manage high-risk obstetrical patients 35 weeks and above
Experience with neonatal stabilization and respiratory support equipment
