Physical Therapist – UHC Staffing

Location: Merced, CA

Start Date: 06-08-2026

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8 hours, flexible to 10 hours for PT travelers, varying shifts including weekends with rotating schedules

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and treat patients with various physical therapy needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Utilize EMR systems for efficient documentation
Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Current Physical Therapy license in California
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience with Cerner EMR system
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varied patient populations

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
Completion of a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in physical therapy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Knowledge of EMR systems and electronic documentation
