Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during patient procedures and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Provide patient education on orthodontic care and appliance maintenance
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or license in Maryland
• X-ray certification preferred
• Previous orthodontic experience is a plus but not required
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Proficiency in dental software for scheduling and records
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
