Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings and periodontal therapy to maintain patient oral health
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures as needed
• Take and develop dental X-rays to aid in diagnosis
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in records
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment

Qualifications

• Licensed Dental Hygienist in New York State
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in a clinical dental setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Knowledge of dental software and electronic health records
• Excellent patient education skills
• Comfortable with digital X-ray systems
