Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy to patients with orthopedic conditions, focusing on upper extremity therapy including shoulder repairs, wrist and elbow tendonitis, and fractures
- Treat a diverse caseload including CVA, MS, and head injury patients with an emphasis on orthopedics (80-100%)
- Work across acute inpatient, acute rehab, transitional care, and outpatient settings
- Document patient progress using ReDoc for outpatient and Meditech for acute care
- Collaborate with an OT Manager and rehab aides to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Occupational Therapist license required
- Outpatient orthopedic experience specifically in upper extremity therapy
- BLS certification required
- Lymphedema training is a plus
- Ability to treat 12 patients per day
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in orthopedic conditions and treatments, particularly shoulders, wrists, elbows, and fractures
- Proficient in ReDoc and Meditech documentation systems
- Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
