Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments to patients of all ages
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
• Capture high-quality dental X-rays to aid in accurate diagnoses
• Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans
• Maintain a sterile, safe, and welcoming environment in the dental office
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dental practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
• Knowledge of dental radiography techniques
• Understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
• Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients
• Ability to use dental software for patient records
