Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits and ensure all equipment is sterilized
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
• Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and answer their questions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and order replacements when needed

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-specific certification preferred
• Prior experience in a dental office is a plus but not required
• Strong communication skills and a friendly chairside manner
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills for patient charting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with dental software for patient management
• Excellent interpersonal skills to comfort patients
• Attention to detail for accurate record keeping
• Ability to work as part of a team
