Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate occupational therapy support to residents in a skilled nursing facility
• Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist to improve daily living skills
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate with the care team
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance independence
• Educate patients and families on techniques to promote safety and function at home

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in California
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
• Comfortable working with geriatric populations and diverse patient needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and modalities
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic health records
• Ability to adapt treatment approaches to individual patient goals
• Time management and organizational skills
