Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub in for cardiac cases in the CVOR, including complex open-heart procedures
Assist in a variety of surgeries across orthopedics, neurology, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and gynecology
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure smooth surgical workflows
Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently during procedures
Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Must be able to independently scrub cardiac surgeries
Minimum 1-2 years of recent CVOR experience preferred
BLS certification required
CST or NCCT certification preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac surgical procedures and instrumentation
Knowledge of ortho, neuro, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and gyn surgeries
Strong sterile technique and aseptic practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changing case schedules
