Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
Manage patients on IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post-CABG recovery
Perform bedside procedures including central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms with Phillips equipment
Collaborate with intensivists, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, supporting patient safety

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with CVICU strongly preferred
Level I trauma experience is mandatory
BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (2 attempts allowed)
Ability to maintain sterile field and pass SIMs lab skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Strong IV skills and central line dressing change competency
Experience with IABP, CABG, and cardiac surgery recovery
Knowledge of telemetry monitoring (Phillips)
Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfortable with high-acuity, 1:1 patient ratios
