Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours per week, every 3rd weekend, shift times to be determined by facility

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status throughout the birthing process
Administer medications and drips including Pitocin, insulin, and antibiotics
Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, patient-centered care
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent LDRP experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Ability to pass open-book exam during orientation with 90% score
Valid driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in labor and delivery nursing including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
