Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 and 1830-0700, every third weekend and 1 major/1 minor holiday, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
Circulate in the operating room for C-sections and assist with surgical procedures
Perform newborn assessments and routine baby care
Titrate IV drips including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate as ordered
Float to postpartum unit as needed to support patient care
Monitor fetal heart tracings using Obix system and intervene appropriately

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Ability to circulate in OR and care for high-risk obstetrics patients
Valid driver's license to verify distance from facility

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in maternal-fetal monitoring and interpretation
Proficient in newborn assessment and resuscitation
Strong IV and medication titration skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity
