Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to ICU patients ranging from trauma to cardiac and stroke
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry interpretation and ventilator management
Titrate critical drips such as cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Participate in open-book pass/fail exam during orientation to ensure clinical competency

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required (to verify 50-mile radius rule)
Willingness to comply with hospital policies, including no artificial nails policy

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in intensive care nursing, including ventilator and drip titration
Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and GE monitoring systems
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and patient education skills
