Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide rapid, high‑quality emergency care to patients in a fast‑paced ER environment
• Triage incoming patients, assess acuity, and prioritize interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency procedures according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate timely treatment
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow‑up care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or compact state
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 0 years of ER experience (new graduates welcome)
• Ability to work overnight weekend shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing assessment and triage
• Advanced cardiac life support protocols
• Pediatric advanced life support techniques
• Neurological stroke assessment (NIHSS)
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Electronic medical record documentation
