Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, pediatric, and geriatric cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and advanced dysrhythmias
• Administer critical drips such as Propofol, Levophed, Cardene, and Nitro
• Assist with trauma resuscitations, chest tubes, rapid transfusions, and intubations
• Floating between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed to support the team
• Participate in triage, fast-track vertical care, and patient placement
• Precept new team members when required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience in a similar volume and trauma level facility
• Must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) within first 3 attempts before starting
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with PulseCheck or Picis EMR preferred
• Comfortable floating between campuses (16 minutes apart)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in managing high-acuity patients including Level I traumas and STEMI alerts
• Proficient in initiating and titrating vasoactive and sedation drips
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to triage and prioritize care effectively
