Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Cardiac ICU setting
Monitor and manage patients on IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Assist with bedside procedures including bronchoscopy, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and epidural management
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with strict sterile technique
Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy for multidisciplinary care
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring safe patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 1-2 years of ICU experience required, CVICU strongly preferred
Level I Trauma experience is a must
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
CCRN certification preferred
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
Successful completion of SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Natural hair color and no facial piercings; men must be clean shaven for fit test
Must have reliable personal vehicle for travel to assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac surgery recovery, including post-CABG and valve patients
Proficient in IABP, CRRT, and ECMO management
Strong IV skills and ability to perform under pressure
Experience with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems
Understanding of sterile field and infection control protocols
