Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding outpatient pediatric care in a community-focused practice
• Round on newborns in the hospital’s Level 1 nursery and manage inpatient newborn care
• Attend C-sections and provide immediate newborn assessment and stabilization
• Take scheduled on-call coverage for the practice and hospital (1:4 rotation, 20-minute response window)
• Collaborate with physicians, CNPs, lactation consultant and behavioral health resources to deliver coordinated care
• Participate in quality initiatives tied to RVU productivity and patient satisfaction metrics
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and communicate effectively with families and the care team
• Engage in community outreach and local activities to support population health

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and completion of an accredited Pediatrics residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (candidates with lapsed certification are not accepted)
• New graduates welcome if TRULY Board Eligible and actively working toward Board Certification
• Active or eligible medical license in Ohio (hospital-employed position will require state licensure)
• DEA registration (hospital covers cost) and current PALS and NRP (costs covered)
• Ability to be within 20 minutes of the hospital while on call
• U.S. work authorization required — visa candidates are not being accepted
• Not accepting Locums candidates

Education

• MD or DO; Pediatrics residency completion. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical pediatrics and newborn care skills, including neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
• Comfort attending C-sections and managing immediate postnatal newborn care
• Outpatient clinic management and continuity care skills
• Familiarity with pediatric life support protocols (PALS)
• Ability to meet RVU productivity and patient satisfaction goals
• Excellent communication, teamwork and community engagement skills
• Attention to documentation, quality measures, and collaborative practice workflows
