Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient preparation and instrument setup
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
• Take and develop dental impressions and digital scans
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Orthodontic dental assistant certification or ortho‑specific training
• Previous experience in an orthodontic office preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly bedside manner
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging
• Understanding of infection control protocols
• Excellent manual dexterity for instrument handling
• Effective communication with patients and team members
