Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient visits.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Take and process dental X-rays and intraoral scans as directed by the orthodontist.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care of orthodontic appliances.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with appointment scheduling and follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state-specific certification preferred.
- Previous experience in orthodontic or general dental assisting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in sterilization techniques and infection control protocols.
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures.
- Skilled in taking dental radiographs and using digital imaging software.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
