Labor & Delivery RN
Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days or nights, every other weekend, holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients in our LDRP unit
- Monitor and titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
- Support breastfeeding and patient education for new families
- Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team
- Maintain high patient experience scores in a Blue Distinction+ facility
- Participate in orientation and pass open-book skills exam
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience required
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Driver's license required at submittal
- Must be willing to comply with artificial nail policy
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in obstetric and postpartum care
- Ability to titrate IV medications (Pitocin, Mag, Procardia)
- Strong patient assessment and communication skills
- Comfortable with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio for laboring patients
- Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines
