Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with meals and hydration according to care plans
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
• BLS/CPR certification (preferred)
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care techniques and infection control practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Physical stamina for lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods
• Attention to detail in documenting resident observations
