Roles & Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy to promote oral health
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis
Document patient charts and treatment plans accurately
Assist the dentist during procedures as needed

Qualifications

Active Dental Hygienist license in New York State
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Current CPR/BLS certification
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of dental anatomy and periodontal disease
Proficient in using dental instruments and sterilization protocols
Skilled in patient management and creating a comfortable experience
Knowledge of dental software for charting and records
