Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and preventive care to promote oral health
• Take and develop dental x-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials
• Document patient care and maintain accurate dental records
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental cleaning techniques and scaling/root planing
• Knowledge of dental radiography and safety procedures
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
