Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM with unrestricted overnight call and weekend call

Candidate Pay Rate: $2870 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert anesthesia care for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart procedures
• Perform comprehensive TEE evaluations for cardiac surgical cases
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and support staff in a Level 1 Trauma center
• Cover general OR cases as needed to support the surgical team
• Supervise CRNAs when required while maintaining hands-on patient care
• Utilize EPIC EMR to document and manage patient care efficiently

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology and Transesophageal Echo
• TEE certified with Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE) testamur status
• Completed ACGME or International equivalent CV Anesthesia Fellowship
• Minimum 5 years documented CV Anesthesia experience if fellowship not completed
• Clean malpractice and background check
• Nebraska license or IMLC eligibility highly preferred

Education

• Completed ACGME or International equivalent CV Anesthesia Fellowship
• Board Certification in Cardiac Anesthesiology
• Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE) testamur status

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced cardiac anesthesia techniques for complex surgical procedures
• TEE certification and perioperative echocardiography expertise
• Experience with 360-450 cardiac cases annually in an academic setting
• Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary cardiac teams
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma and academic environment
