Education

• Number of OR Rooms: We can run 8 rooms a day plus 2 Heart rooms for a total of 9-10.
• Cases per day: On average, we range from 23-25 cases per day
• Types of cases: General surgery, Vascular, Ortho, Endo, Urology….we pretty much do everything here except Trauma (even though we have our fair share of stabbings, gunshot wounds, MVAs etc. We also have a strong Open Heart Surgery program and our CVOR is where we could really use some support.
• Tech Support: If scrub OR nurses are too hard to find, we could use 2 scrub techs with CVOR experience to work the mid-shift beginning at 1030am. This could be 12 hours or 8 hours. Please keep me posted. We are willing to be flexible.
• Charge Nurse on Staff: yes
• Normal Hours/shifts: 12 hour shifts.
• Call required: 4-5 in a 4 week schedule but can vary depending on the needs of the unit
