Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional critical care to post-open heart patients and high-acuity cases
- Perform intubations and manage hemodynamic monitoring with precision
- Operate advanced equipment like Impella heart pumps and CRRT systems
- Respond swiftly to rapids and code blues as part of the critical care team
- Collaborate with the team to maintain 1:2 patient ratios in a 12-bed SICU
- Float to PCU or med-surg units as needed to support the facility
- Ensure outstanding patient experience through clear communication and timely care
Qualifications
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of ICU experience
- Cardiac critical care experience is a must
- BLS and ACLS certifications required, CCRN is a fantastic plus
Education
- RN degree from an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in ICU nursing including intubations and hemodynamic monitoring
- Proficiency with Impella heart pump and CRRT
- Comfortable using Meditech documentation and Hemosphere monitoring platform
- Ability to care for post-op open heart patients
