Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate critical care
- Manage ventilators including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory systems
- Administer surfactant and nitric oxide therapies to improve tiny lungs
- Acquire and interpret blood gases for precise newborn interventions
- Collaborate with NICU team to support 36-bed unit during peak times
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist license
- 1+ year of experience, with Level 3 NICU preferred or 3-5 years Level 2 NICU
- NRP certification required
- STABLE certification a plus for top consideration
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise with Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, and Vapotherms
- Proficiency in Meditech and NeoNotes EMR systems
- Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making
- Detail-oriented approach with a positive attitude
