Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced telemetry/PCU unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips, titrating drips as needed
Manage patients with common diagnoses including cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, COPD, pneumonia, and sepsis
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe patient ratios
Float to PCU or med/surg as needed to support patient care across units
Utilize Epic EMR to document and coordinate care seamlessly

Qualifications

Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum PCU experience with proven ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Experience with titrating cardiac drips (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, etc.)
Epic experience preferred but open to first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac knowledge including rhythm interpretation and drip management
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with 1:4-5 nurse-patient ratios
Comfortable with Bipap, trachs, and high-flow oxygen equipment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
