Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, times vary (7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a); every other weekend; self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and chemotherapy medications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU, oncology, or med/surg
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred; chemotherapy certification a plus
Comfortable with EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to manage oncology patients from diagnosis through remission or end-of-life care
Skilled in titrating drips and monitoring hemodynamic parameters
Strong teamwork and communication skills to foster a positive unit culture
Adaptable to a fast-paced, mixed acuity environment
