Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend, self-scheduling with cyclic rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for orthopedic patients, including total joint replacements and spine surgeries
Administer medications, monitor patient status, and manage pain control
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to MedSurg, Rehab, or PCU as needed based on acuity
Participate in patient education and discharge planning

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year of MedSurg or Ortho experience preferred
Valid driver's license for distance verification
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Orthopedic nursing knowledge including post-operative care
Ability to interpret telemetry strips with support from tele techs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient assignments
