Physical Therapist - Acute Care
Location: Bryan, Texas
Start Date: 07-13-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; weekend rotation (2 full weekends per month)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute care patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and mobility
- Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, and other therapists
- Supervise PTA and rehab techs as needed
- Adapt treatment approaches for a diverse caseload including ortho, neuro, cardiac, and post-surgical patients
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in Texas (or compact eligible)
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Previous acute care experience preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced Level III trauma center
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in acute care physical therapy
- Proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR systems
- Ability to manage a caseload of 8-10 patients per day
- Knowledge of treatment techniques for orthopedic, neurological, and general medical conditions
- Team collaboration and precepting abilities
