Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist with patient examinations and treatment planning
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and orthodontic appliances
• Record patient data and update treatment charts accurately
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Valid dental assistant license in Maryland
• Orthodontic certification or proven experience in orthodontic settings
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced dental office

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic procedures and appliance handling
• Dental instrument sterilization and infection control
• Electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Patient education and communication
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
