Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Start Date: 06-17-2026
End Date: 09-16-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts, with rotating call after 4:30 PM weekdays and rotating weekends
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying
- Operate GE equipment and utilize Radnet and Merge Unity systems
- Ensure high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize patient care
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- Valid California NMTL license (Nuclear Medicine Technology License)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Ability to start IVs (preferred but not required for this role)
- Willingness to work rotating call and weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in SPECT, cardiac imaging, bone scans, and gastric emptying studies
- Experience with GE nuclear medicine equipment
- Skilled in using Radnet and Merge Unity for image management
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Excellent patient communication and care skills
