Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Accurately document patient records and treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with dentists and support staff to ensure seamless care
• Maintain strict infection control and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene or related field
• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental charting and electronic health record systems
• Understanding of periodontal disease, caries prevention, and oral health promotion
• Skilled in using ultrasonic scalers, prophylaxis equipment, and other hygiene tools
• Knowledge of OSHA and infection control protocols
