Roles & Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain patient oral health
Assess patients' oral health, including taking X-rays and reviewing medical history
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as needed
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of New York
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Current CPR/BLS certification
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Proficiency with dental software and digital X-ray systems

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral diseases, and treatment protocols
Skill in using dental instruments and equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
Empathy and patience in working with diverse patient populations
